How we work

Short version

An AI system does the research and writes the first draft. A person checks each report before it is sent. We say this openly. If you ask us whether we are automated, the answer is yes, with a person reviewing.

How a report is made

  1. You tell us your store. We read your public store pages and the public pages of your closest competitors. We use public pages only. We do not log in anywhere.
  2. We read slowly and politely. Low volume, one page at a time. We follow each site's robots.txt file and say honestly who we are. If a store or platform asks us to stop, we stop.
  3. Every claim gets a source. Each fact in the report has a link and the date we read the page. We keep a private saved copy of each source page as our own proof. We do not put copies of other stores' pages in your report. You get the links and dates.
  4. We mark weak evidence. If a number comes from a blog and not from the official source, the report says so. If a rule of thumb has no primary source, the report says "rule of thumb, unsourced". If we could not read a page, we say that.
  5. A person checks it. Before delivery, a person reviews the report. Unchecked claims are removed.

6.

What the report is

Analysis and recommended actions. It is not a data dump. It does not contain contact details or raw lists of other businesses.

What we do not do

Where we can be wrong

Prices and shipping rules change. Each fact is dated with the day we read it. A report is a snapshot of that day, not a live feed. Tell us about any error: pricerung@novacanelabs.com.
